OMG this would have to be the most unbelievable book Susan has written. How could Maggie possibly fall over dead bodies and make absurd assumptions everywhere. It has put me off reading the next one - move on to another character before you alienate your readers!

I always enjoy a Maggie Newberry mystery. The plots are unique plus the references to French country living hook me in. After 14 books you really get invested in all the characters. I would say the earlier books are more standalone books but these later in the series definitely require knowledge of events that happened in the earlier books.
