Romance with a Dash of Suspense Shandi loved Jace forever, but he did not see her. When her house went up in flames, he came to her rescue. She was not looking for her house to burn, but could that fire get Jace finally to notice the love that’s been staring him in the face all along? Sometimes, hardships open doors we are not expecting. How did that fire start? What about the diner that they both want? Who will win in the end? Jace and Shandi have some obstacles to overcome. If you like sweet, contemporary romance with a dash of suspense, you might enjoy this story.

Pam Crooks’ third book in The Blackstone Ranch series, My Kind of Cowboy, is a story of home and belonging. With believable characters who have heart and bring with that warmth, juxtaposed with tension and the machinations of greed brought on by drugs and addiction, this story is definitely a page turner. With so many plot twists and turns, this story serves to demonstrate the creative mind of Ms Crooks. I look forward to see what she has in store next...hopefully more from Paxton Springs, Texas. My Kind of Cowboy by Pam Crooks. Book three in the Blackstone Ranch series. A great storyline dialogue, and character development for me was perfect for storyline. Totally would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys a small town, family, cowboys, romance and a touch of mystery.
