I found Flame of the Phoenix to be an amazing novella, and it was fast paced. The story was well-written, and I could not put the book down. I wanted to find out what would happen next. Hades and his minions would do anything to hurt Matilda "Tilly" Ledet. I wanted to see how Phoenix (immortal warrior, phoenix shifter), and Tilly (human female) survived Hades' wrath. Will Tilly learn to trust, take a chance on love, and stop letting her bad childhood memories destroy her future? Phoenix is determined to break down any of her walls that she rebuilds, and claim her heart. Phoenix is a wonderful, take charge kind of guy, considerate, loving, protector, and sexy. This story has original storyline, drama, action, and suspense. The chemistry between these Phoenix and Tilly are intense! I enjoyed reading about Phoenix and Tilly's steamy scenes, and their happy ever after.
