I enjoyed this book. There is a avalanche of pain, baggage and raw emotion that must be dealt with as Ross and Charlotte's story unfolds. The writing was superior and the storyline engaging. I felt for both these characters but also had to deal with some frustration I felt about their behavior. regardless, of that I really liked this book. Tension, drama, turmoil, steam and twists make an enticing blend that goes down smooth and easily. This is my candid, volitional review.

Secret baby? I’m in! Of course, class differences, parental issues (even with grown up adults), and hidden emotions played a huge part in this story. These two were so oblivious, yet so connected, and terrified of admitting their feelings to themselves. The past shaped so much of Ross then, and now. The past shaped so much of Charlotte then, and now. But, somehow, some way, they made it back to each other, shredded my heart, and then finally, got their very much deserved HEA!

Simone does what she knows best. Back in the Texan's Bed was a scandalous temptation. Ross and Charlotte set each chapter aflame with their turbulent chemistry and emotional past. Betrayal runs rampant and emotions run deep, yet it's the twists and turns that keep hearts craving more.
