I had the pleasure of receiving and advance copy of this book in which meet again Jack Wells, who we know from his adventuress with Simon and Elizabeth, the beloved characters in the Out of Time series. In this 3rd book of this spin-off series, the Saving Time novels, Jack works for the Council of Temporal Studies to restore the timeline. What I love about this author is that you get to meet again beloved and well developed characters in an always refreshing new setting. In this new book, we are truly transported in time and space and "feel" we are in '30s in Nairobi. True to her style, Monique Martin crafted a story that is real page turner. Jack is a lovable hero, the type of guy that you just want to root for. To me, this is the mark of a really great author, when you feel you know the character and that you care about what happens to him. If you enjoy a fun mystery, adventure in time-travel with amazing characters, I highly recommend everything written by Monique Martin.

Monique attended the University of Southern California's Film School where she earned a BFA from the Filmic Writing department. She worked in television for several years before joining the family business. She now works full-time as a freelance writer and novelist.

She currently resides in Southern California with her naughty Siamese cat, Monkey. She’s currently working on an adaptation of one of her screenplays, her father's memoirs about his time in the Air Force's Air Rescue Service, as well as more books the Out of Time world.
