I'm kind of sad that I bought the set for all three books. I'm still going to read them because I bought them. I didn't find the writing thrilling. The plot is okay-ish, but every other sentence there is a grammical error and it doesn't keep my attention. This is the kind of book you read as filler while you're waiting for other books to be delivered to you. Additionally the narritive is omniscient which is a very difficult narritive to master and is done okay-ish. I don't find the characters relatable as well and the way they act doesn't have a lot of character development in my opinion. The witch part is derived from real practices which is somewhat okay. I wouldn't be able to speak for the truth regarding that since I don't know a lot about witchcraft, but that is a nice aspect.

This book and the rest of the series is a must read for anyone who likes books about witchcraft. When I read this book I had just finished harry potter, and didn't think anything would capitvate me like that series...... I was wrong.I've now read these books 10 times going on round 11

The characters draw you in. When I finished the books I felt like I said good bye to a close relationship so much so that I read the books over again. A MUST HAVE for your personal library.
