When Sandman, issue #1 arrived at my Lower East Side comic book shop it was love at first sight. This seminal series was fresh and innovative, and left one waiting with bated breath for the next issue. Finally got to meet Mr. Gaiman at St. Marks Comics (when issue #15 came out) where he drew little pictures with a silver paint pen on the back issues I brought with me. An amazing writer and an amazing series.

The classification of artistry is unparalleled, its in a genre of its own, styilistically pays homage to gothic album cover arts in circulation with the black and white budgets for flyers during the underground heavy metal movement you would see on skidrow, and stuffing in your pocket to hang in your room with pride to remind your self of such a good find, and in this case the diamond should always remain on rough.

I hope Neil continues in this craft for as long as he can. He's truly gifted. My favorite novel is American Gods, and Neverwhere. I plan on purchasing more of these graphic novels, a real treat for digital consumers. 💫
