"NEXT DOOR is full of completely unexpected twists—you will read it on the edge of your chair. It is Blake Pierce at his best! Another masterpiece of suspense and mystery. I highly recommend it to the permanent library of all readers that appreciate an excellent thriller, full of psychological suspense and with a completely unexpected ending. This is the first in what promises to be another excellent series. I can hardly wait to read the sequel."

--Books and Movie Reviews, Roberto Mattos

NEXT DOOR (A Chloe Fine Mystery) is book #1 in a new psychological suspense series by bestselling author Blake Pierce, whose #1 bestseller Once Gone (Book #1) (a free download) has received over 1,000 five star reviews.

FBI Evidence Response Team intern Chloe Fine, 27, finds herself forced to confront her own dark past when her troubled twin sister needs her help—and when a body turns up dead in her small, suburban town.

Chloe feels life is finally perfect as she moves back into her home town, and into a new house with her fiancé. Her career with the FBI looks promising, and her wedding is on the horizon.

But, she learns, all is not as it seems in suburbia. Chloe begins to see the underside—the gossip, the secrets, the lies—and she finds herself haunted by her own demons: her mother’s mysterious death when she was 10, and her father’s imprisonment.

And when a fresh body is found, Chloe soon realizes that her past, and this small town, might hold the key to solving both.

An emotionally wrought psychological suspense with layered characters, small-town ambiance and heart-pounding suspense, NEXT DOOR is book #1 in a riveting new series that will leave you turning pages late into the night.

Book #2 in the CHLOE FINE series is also now available!

we have two protagonists here both of them are idiots.. ok let me introduce you to Daniel she's antisocial and nobody feels comfortable around her, actually she's a pain in the ass and also stupid.. this Daniel receives threatening litters but she wouldn't report them just because one of the litters said she would be killed if she did so, that makes sense if she's a child but she's an adult woman.. However the author making his best to make me feel sympathy for her. ok, then let me introduce you to Chloe she's a traine fed investigator she found a new evidence that clears her sister of a murder.. she found a blood under the the victim's nail that belongs to someone else.. so the investigators in the field weren't able to search under the victim's nail because they are idiots or something till that genius Chloe came to find the evidence that will release her sister.. actually I'm wasting my time by reading this but once I start reading a book I've to finish it whatsoever.. it's a compulsive incentive more than wanting to read it.

So many spelling and grammatical mistakes. How on earth did this get through publishing? The wrong name was even used for characters a couple of times, making things very confusing until you realised the character named was incorrect. The plot was ok, but completely unrealistic. There is no way any FBI agent, let alone one in training, would be allowed that close to an investigation they are so involved in. On top of that she was feeding information to the main murder suspect, with permission from the agent supervising her? She wouldn't even have got past, "Oh, I know that guy," in real life. Altogether just a waste of time. The only reason I gave it any stars is because I thought I knew the direction it was going, then the twist managed to take me by surprise. So well done, there, I guess. Altogether though, badly written, badly researched, and I have no idea why it seems so popular.

This wasn't a bad story at all. It was interesting and I enjoyed reading it but the number of misspelled words, grammatical errors and use and misspellings of the characters names was completely distracting. I found myself counting how many errors I could find in each paragraph. And then at the end of the book it's advertising the next book in the series and the picture of the cover says, "A Neibhor's Lie!" What the hell? That's really sad.
