Well-written tale of a young boy and his journey into adulthood. Literary style of this is intriguingly written and the characters are well fleshed out and unique for the most part. A critical incident that occurs early on in the tale comes up much later in the book and is seemingly unaddressed. Is this a stroke of luck in the story, or negligence on the part of Mr. Vance?
