About this ebook

Brooding ex-soldier Clint McLeish isolates himself in the Outback. He trusts no one, but his game park needs a security coordinator—someone as tough as him, as intuitive as him. Someone with luscious curves, eyes to drown in and an enticing tattoo peeking out from under her tank top…?

Romy Carvell is no man's fool! She can see there's something missing in rugged Clint's life, and if she can overcome her inhibitions, she may be the woman to finally tame his heart!

This book kept me chomping on my pen while reading, eager to get back to it and finish the story. The UST (unresolved sexual tension) was icing on the cake from the romance department, but this story could stand on its own as a suspense novel. I like it when I learn something from a casual beach-read and not only did I learn a bit about how to be a good security officer (Romy) or a bit about the Australian Special Forces (Clint), but I almost felt as though I was learning some of the science about wildlife refuges, frogs, endangered cocatails, and the wildlife smuggling trade while doing it. Enjoyed this book ... will be watching for MORE from this author!

About the author

Nikki Logan lives amongst a string of wetlands in Australia with her partner and a menagerie of animals. Her stories are full of romance in descriptive, natural environments. She believes the richness and danger of wild places perfectly mirror the passion and risk of falling in love. Nikki authored her first romance on a sabbatical from work. Determined to be published by forty, her first book hit shelves in February 2010, her fortieth year, and she hasn't looked back since.
