The attraction between the two is palpable, but Vanessa gets attached to no one, and Callum is a romantic; it could be difficult to see eye to eye. But the biggest hurdle is that Vanessa wants to get invited to Callum’s castle; there are rumours that a vampire roams the halls and Vanessa is in Scotland to investigate. Can love bloom between those two independent people, or will fate and their respective secrets keep them separate? Ms. Mason has built a rich and complex mythology, which is the foundation of this exciting series, and STARRY KNIGHT is but the beginning. Vanessa and Callum are fabulous characters, seemingly totally different, and yet… Vanessa is a strong, independent woman and Callum is one of the most romantic and respectful heroes I have read in recent years. And let's not forget the steamy sex either. The author has crafted a very intricate story, with many layers that tie in with several characters, which leaves much to look forward to in the future. Ms. Mason’s writing is as impeccable as ever: elegant, descriptive, smooth and fluid. An exhilarating start to what promises to be a fabulous series!
