Seeing the animation first then reading the novel I can full heartily say I enjoyed this book. However I will only give the review 4 stars because you either need a great knowledge of the English language or not take this book seriously. It is a great book that ALMOST anyone can read, unfortunately you need knowledge of the anime\light novel\manga community to fully enjoy this read. Otherwise this is a masterpiece in of itself and a must buy\read

No Game No Life, is a well wrtten story that, quite possibly, is every gamer and anime lovers dream come true! In depth "battles" with creative twists keep you interested in the rules of even the simplest game. With fantastic plot twists and plenty of comedic relief, this step brother/sister pair complement each other so well, they are here to take this new world by storm! Sora's wits and know-how gives him the perfect edge for finding the best course of attack, while Shiro's brain's and understanding of her brother let them conquer any challenge that comes before them. First a kingdom, then their country, then the world and finally, even the God Tet! This pair wont stop till they become the best gamers in any world! This is Blank!

Its an incredible storyline with characters to whom one can relate to. In addition to the comedic aspects, the games creates a world that anyone who feels like an outsider would want to go to.
