Laura lives in Southern New Jersey with her husband and daughter. Derek Burkhardt is an illustrator from Southern New Hampshire who passionately seeks to capture the spry vivacity of a child's perspective. He makes use of the time spent with his numerous nieces and nephews as a portal to which he can escape to their whimsical world; recreating within his illustrations the exuberant color and playfulness of the adventures that he shares with them. Currently, Derek is continuing his studies at a college of the University of New Hampshire majoring in Biology.
