Laura Davis believes strongly in literature's purpose to teach and delight. She enjoyed obtaining a degree in English Literature from Ursinus College in Pennsylvania, and is currently relishing life raising her daughter, with whom she explores a great variety of Children's Literature. Laura lives in Southern New Jersey with her husband and daughter. Derek Burkhardt is an illustrator from Southern New Hampshire who passionately seeks to capture the spry vivacity of a child's perspective. He makes use of the time spent with his numerous nieces and nephews as a portal to which he can escape to their whimsical world; recreating within his illustrations the exuberant color and playfulness of the adventures that he shares with them. Currently, Derek is continuing his studies at a college of the University of New Hampshire majoring in Biology.
