About this ebook

The #1 New York Times bestselling author of Year One and Of Blood and Bone concludes her stunning new trilogy praised as “A match for end-of-the-world classics like Stephen King’s The Stand.”

After the sickness known as the Doom destroyed civilization, magick has become commonplace, and Fallon Swift has spent her young years learning its ways. Fallon cannot live in peace until she frees those who have been preyed upon by the government or the fanatical Purity Warriors, endlessly hunted or locked up in laboratories, brutalized for years on end. She is determined to save even those who have been complicit with this evil out of fear or weakness—if, indeed, they can be saved.

Strengthened by the bond she shares with her fellow warrior, Duncan, Fallon has already succeeded in rescuing countless shifters and elves and ordinary humans. Now she must help them heal—and rediscover the light and faith within themselves. For although from the time of her birth, she has been The One, she is still only one. And as she faces down an old nemesis, sets her sights on the enemy’s stronghold, and pursues her destiny—to finally restore the mystical shield that once protected them all—she will need an army behind her...

The final book of Nora Roberts trilogy about a post apocalyptic world is full of magic, mythology, battles and love. Ms. Roberts never fails to deliver an entertaining story. Though this trilogy did not follow her usual plot line of six people coming together to couple up and fight the big evil it still wove a plot that had interesting and vibrant characters.

I've been a Nora Roberts fan for many years. I listen to ebooks driving to work and true to form, I find myself looking for any reason to get back in the car to hear more. Year One may be even better than Stephen King's The Stand and I read that 5 times. This series is one of the most engaging books I've ever read or listened to. I've laughed, cried and held my breath on one or more occasions while engrossed in this novel. Nora brings you close to knowing her heros and villans. Cheer when the bad guy gets it and cry when a hero gets killed. I cant wait for "The Rise of Magicks" to go on sale. But sadly, wait I must.

I love all of Nora's books. I have read almost every book that she has written. Staying awake until 5 in the morning just to see what is going to happen. The Irish stories are my favorite. I have read them over and over and I never get tired of them. Keep up the great writing Nora and please throw in some more Irish stories!! Thank you!!
