He must either repair his ship and resume a possibly futile quest for a more hospitable planet, or modify his genetic structure and transform into a different species. In addition, by bringing advanced technology and weapons, he awakens an ancient interspecies rivalry that threatens to undermine the harmony of the civilization. Combining philosophical speculation with a gritty survival tale, Bardolomy takes the reader on an escapist ride into the future, and a man's search for identity in an age of manufactured humans.
