As far as old books go, this one has its share of unexpected twists. The heroine is young and naive, which gets a little irritating. Still, the story flows fairly well and there's a variety of characters. Not a fantastic read, but interesting enough.

It does not rank among my favorite of Jane Austen's books but is nevertheless very entertaining and as true to Jane Austen's particular style and tone as her more popular books.
As always, an intriguing insight to a world where "a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife."
