About this ebook

Surrounded by the hate-filled gazes of her people, the selfish princess of the fallen Tearmoon Empire, Mia, takes one last look at the bleeding sun before the guillotine blade falls...

Only to wake back up as a twelve-year-old! With time rewound and a second chance at life dropped into her lap, she sets out to right the countless wrongs that plague the ailing Empire. Corrupt governance? Check. Border troubles? Check. Natural calamities and economic strife? Check.

My, seems like a lot of work.

Hard work and Mia don’t mix, so she seeks out the aid of others, starting with her loyal maid, Anne, and the brilliant minister, Ludwig. Together, they strive day and night to restore the Empire. Little by little, their tireless efforts begin to change the course of history, pushing the whole of the continent toward a new future.

And why did the selfish princess have a change of heart, you ask? Simple—she didn’t. She’s just terrified of the guillotine. They hurt like hell, and Mia hates pain more than work.

Lazy, selfish, and a complete coward, the ill-equipped princess of the Tearmoon Empire, armed with memories of her past life and a diary from the future, tries to avoid dying at the guillotine again and changes the very course of history in the process!

I swear to god if this series ends with Mia ending up with Sion and no Abel, I'm going to be so pissed off. I usually don't enjoy the romance parts of these kinds of stories but for some reason I still am lost for, I'm really enjoying this one. Great start to a hopefully long and enjoyable series!

Tearmoon Empire is a very enjoyable read. Our main character Mia, after being brought back to her 12 years-old self, does everything she can to escape her future downfall. While most characters seem to be all bit by bit under serious Mia-adulation disease, the narrator has no qualm on making us, readers, aware of her true intentions: avoiding doom. This first volume is a very nice start to a let's-avoid-the-guillotine comedy. I definitely recommend it, let's enjoy and look kindly upon Mia's shenanigans !

Got hooked because of the manga first. Really love this. It's the typical "return back in time to change bad ending", except that the character doesn't really change in personality. She is still the selfish princess. Only, this time, her action are all for the sake of her neck to not get chopped. So, it was hella funny when everything she did was misunderstood as an act of kindness. It's like "i want to get the inheritance, so i will treat my grandfather really well". Will definitely read the second volume.
