About this ebook

Chi McLane loves lying. A fortuneteller, she’ll happily lie about your future for a fee.

She encounters a problem when she inherits her grandmother's house. Shouldn’t be so bad, right? Wrong. The house comes with a book, and the book’s cursed.

Soon, Chi’s thrust into the gritty world of a seer. Yeah, because magic exists, and it ain't pretty.

Oh, and there's another problem. One with broad shoulders, an even broader Scottish accent, and a killer smile. Turns out he's her magical bodyguard, and he's here to stay.

Chi’s pushed into a realm of violent magic, petty lies, and a curse intent to haunt her until she dies.

….

I really enjoyed this book. It was a book to read in a day. I've read other books by this same author & find them all very entertaining. The plot was convincing & believable, who doesn't tell a white lie now & then (I try hard not to as rule, being a single parent for so many years just made it a great habit to keep up) but when you start to have horrible consequences for lying? I'd rather not, thanks! Chi is the main character & considers herself a fake psychic. She later learns a family secret about her dad's mom. Chi found her true strengths in the TRUTH! That was the amazing partof the story. Now, to figure out what her grandmother is talking about regarding Max; her protector & she's feeling some tingles for him... Does she need to be careful? We'll have to read the other 3 books in the series. Enjoy!

the worst book ever. the author keep explaining everything on almost every page, after page. it gets so boring reading the same old explanation all the time. drooling on and on. not going to finish the series.

A self centered medium finds herself having to tell the truth or die. I did not like her so I don't care what happens next. Sorry.
