About this eBook

It is shown how to approximate a class of Laplace transforms, say A(p), which involve the ratio of sums of generalized hypergeometric functions. The latter transcendentals are approximated by rational functions . Thus A(p) is approximated by a rational function and inversion of the latter leads to simple and useful approximations for the inverse transform of A(p). For an application, a stress problem is studied, and the results manifest the simplicity and accuracy of our approximation technique.
