Great book but WAY too preachy. I once read a book about what would happen if abortion was illegal and it only mentioned abortion about twice and was waaaay less preachy than this. I read books to forget about reality and enjoy a story, not to hear about racism, sexism, and other sh**. If I wanted to feel bad for being a straight, white, pro-cop, male, I would look at a documentary or watch CNN. The story itself is great though. Would definitely recommend.

Mid book so I may change this review. The 1st book had character mistakes that make sense for someone in their intense situation. You wouldn't think EVERYTHING thru when most of your brain is focused on surviving physically and maintaining your sense of self.>The 2nd book, the characters mistakes make sense for the person being sheltered.I'm even truly grateful that they had another character point out the idiocies. But it looks like the characters are going to go ahead and make similar IMMEDIATE mistakes. It's the stereotypical writter-given character-moron driven plot device. The characters are now SO dumb that their mistakes are the ONLY way to drive the story forward.>It's really FRUSTRATING for the reader, viewer, and/or listener. It DEVALUES the characters that you try to relate and cheer for. It's lazy, but I have NOT finished the book.Given the summary for the 3rd book(I had to cheat&look)I don't know that the 2nd book will get better.BUT I will change this review IF this gets better.

I can't believe I already finished, but that how I operate. Once I get immersed in a really good story I am glued to it till the vert end and nothing can stop me, not even being in work 🤭 I am so happy I found this story thru Webtoon and I am so sad there is so continuation yet. I could read it till the end of world like a child asking "...and what's next?"
