Hadley gets out of town to avoid the pressure from her Dad and fiance after they push her into the engagement that she does not want. Setting up practice with two other lawyers, Cade and his construction/renovation business are their first clients. With Cade's support and that of her friends, Hadley is able to break free of her Dad and his expectations and manipulations.

Cade and Hadley's storyline was well written and grab ahold of you from the very beginning. I enjoyed them getting to know each other and realizing what they had been missing. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

What a fantastic start to Lea Coll’s new series. I absolutely loved this story about Hadley and Cade. Cade lost his wife to cancer and has thrown himself into his work. Hadley comes to Annapolis to get away from her father, so she invests in a new law firm, that her friend Taylor told her about. Hadley’s first client is Cade and they have amazing chemistry. This is where the story gets good. I won’t leave any spoilers, but I will say, I loved all of these characters and I can’t wait to read the books about Avery and Dylan, Hadley’s partners in their law firm. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Lea Coll worked as a trial attorney for over ten years. Now she stays home with her three children, plotting stories while fetching snacks and running them back and forth to activities. She enjoys the freedom of writing romance after years of legal writing.

She currently resides in Maryland with her family.
