About this ebook

Optical Prism is a collection of colourful poetry that dives into many struggles and experiences young women might have to face in this modern age. The light and dark issues of today's society – toxic relationships and masculinity, depression and suicide, diversity and sexuality, trauma and abuse, sexual assault, and parent-child relationships – and smaller, personal issues like romantic love and heartbreak are emanated through these poems.

About the author

A university student with the aim of majoring in English and Creative Writing, Katie Trotter is pursuing a long childhood dream of becoming an author. From a very young and tender age, Katie was enthralled by books and took up the pastime of writing and poetry to better express herself.
