Gene A. Davis received his doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Chicago (1968). He worked as an industrial research chemist, senior scientist, R and D director, and consultant for 30 years, and he has authored 28 publications and patents. He has taught general, organic, and clinical chemistry, as well as biochemistry, at the University of Massachusetts (Lowell) and several other colleges and universities.
