About the author

Ottilie A. Liljencrantz was a Swedish-American author and translator. She was born in Sweden in 1851 and emigrated to the United States as a young woman. Liljencrantz was known for her works of fiction, poetry, and translation, and was a prominent member of the Swedish-American literary community. She was also active in the women's suffrage movement and was a strong advocate for women's rights. Some of her notable works include "In the Heart of the Storm" (1882) and "In the Realm of the Golden Dragon" (1901). Liljencrantz was highly regarded by her contemporaries, and her works continue to be of interest to scholars of Swedish-American literature.
