I fell in love with this family in Down Lambeth Way, and that grows book by book. Fabulous characters with their Victorian values, and historically accuracy makes them a joy to read.
About the author
Mary Jane Staples was born, bred and educated in Walworth, and was the author of many bestselling novels including the ever-popular cockney sagas featuring the Adams family. She died in 2005.
