Charlene Hatton’s “Poetic
Expressions” is a collection of poems, which serve as a way of
giving thanks to the Lord for coming to her when she needed him the
most. From her suffering came great relief, and through this miracle,
we now have a wonderful collection of devotional poetry to comfort
others who are waiting for their miracles, and to remind those who
have been blessed to thank God for His kindness.
Encapsulating the Christian tenants of
charity, love, and kindness to others, each stanza of her spiritual
poems in “Poetic Expressions” offers a beautiful prayer to the
God so many people turn from when they are down, and lose sight of
when they are doing well.

Charlene Hatton was born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
Although her life has been filled with traumatizing events, she has never lost her faith in God, who has always picked her up when she falls.
Inspired by the life and works of Helen Keller, the poet ventured into poetry as a means of dealing with her grief, as well as attempting to recognize the Lord for the role He played in her recovery. With the support of her ex-husband and her own tenacious spirit, the poet has written poems that are able to capture the feeling of loss as well as poems that can celebrate the good in life.
After retiring from her position as an office supervisor, Charlene Hatton now devotes her time to poetry, gardening, and reading. She also enjoys knitting prayer shawls for the needy.
