Macie and Landon’s second chance love story in Pacific Paradise, Second Chance by Susan Carlisle is a wonderful, sweet, and enjoyable tale. Nurse Macie Beck never expected to see Dr. Landon Cochran again after he ghosted her in Hawaii. Landon is at the small Pacific island hospital on behalf of the World Health Organization, checking on their needs for improvement. Their reunion is overshadowed by the memories of their past as they rediscover the chemistry and attraction they once shared still exists. Landon and Macie attempt to keep things strictly profession but that becomes impossible; the fates are telling them that they need to grab for a second chance at being together. They must first overcome the hurts and secrets from their pasts before this second chance can be successful. Ms. Carlisle wrote a wonderful, flirty, and enjoyable romance that should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sizzling chemistry, vivid scenic descriptions, and realistic characters giving Macie and Landon a chance at a happily ever after. I highly recommend The Pacific Paradise, Second Chance to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
