Alex Ogg is a highly respected music journalist and author. His books include The Hip Hop Years, The Men Behind Def Jam, Rap Lyrics: From the Sugarhill Gang to Eminem, Independence Days, No More Heroes, etc. His journalism has been seen in The Times, The Herald, Etapes International and Vive Le Rock, among many other publications, and websites including The Quietus, Yahoo and Virgin. He has written more than 100 CD sleevenotes, including those for Pillows & Prayers, which won a 2008 Mojo award. He lives in London with his partner and two boys.
