This is book one in A Perilous Trust Series and it is Lilah and Wyatt's story and omg this book is a must read. Lilah and her sister Southern are going out for Lilah's birthday even though it is not really what Lilah's likes to do as she was a nurse and the responsible one where are Southern was the wild child and enjoyed life. Lilah went home from work the next day only to find her sister Southern read and she had been murdered and Lilah's life would never be the same again. Wyatt was in the military and did four tours in Iraq and he has never got over the things that happened over there but now that he is out and has a job of being a police officer so when they get a call of a woman screaming it is Wyatt and his partner that attends and that is when he meets Lilah under difficult circumstances. As Wyatt and Lilah get closer the danger is closing in around them but will they get out alive. There are many twists and turns along the way and difficult situations that had me crying after all how much loss can a person go through without coming out a different person at the end of it. I couldn't put this book down and I had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next and the ending just about broke my heart in too. This is the first book that I have read by Patricia Hoving but definitely not the last as it was so well written and addictive and I can't wait to read the next book in this amazing series. The first book in the A Perilous Trust Duology a story that held my interest until the end, but it does end in a continuation to the next book. There is suspense, drama, villains, danger, and romance. I want to read the next book and find out what happens to Lilah. This is a new Author to me.
