I did not read the book yet, but I have a seen the movie, . I cried so much. I put my self in place of (dear Hachicko ) wait ,wait & wait for 10 whole years, but never gets tired. until one cold snowing night Hachicko died & ,finally he sees he's friend, God bless both of There souls.

Never seen such heart touching story very emotional, sad movie whenever I saw this movie it made me cry😢 This movie says that no person can love each other as a dog can love someone. I love u hachiko, u r my real hero💖

I have seen the movie about Hachiko and I cried all the way through it. It's incredible how this dog loved his master so much that he waited for him to come home long after he died. Hachiko was a true friend.

About the author

Pamela S. Turner has a master’s degree in public health from the University of California, Berkeley, and a special interest in microbiology and epidemiology. Her articles for children and adults have appeared in numerous scientific publications. Her books include Hachiko: The True Story of a Loyal Dog, Gorilla Doctors, The Frog Scientist, Dolphins of Shark Bay, and Project Seahorse. She lives with her family in California.

Half-French, half-Italian, Yan Nascimbene shared his childhood between these two countries. After working as a photographer's assistant in a Paris fashion studio, Nascimbene studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York and at the University of California at Davis. Nascimbene's illustrations have appeared in numerous publications worldwide, including Time, Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, the New Yorker, Boston Globe, Toronto Life, Scientific American, Atlantic Monthly, Hemispheres, etc. His commercial clients include Air France, British Airways, Continental Airlines, IBM, Apple, Macy's, Stanford University, UC Berkeley, Bank of America, United Way, Estée Lauder, Manpower, and more.      Nascimbene also illustrated Houghton's Hachiko by Pamela Turner and The Beautiful Christmas Tree by Charlotte Zolotow
