About this eBook

Katie Ellison is not a liar.

It's just that telling the truth is so . . . tricky. She knows she shouldn't be making out with a drama club hottie behind her football-player boyfriend's back. She should probably admit that she can't stand eating quahogs (clams), especially since she's running for Quahog Princess in her hometown's annual Quahog Festival. And it would be a relief to finally tell someone what really happened the night Tommy Sullivan is a freak was spray-painted on the new wall outside the junior high school gymnasium—in neon orange, which still hasn't been sandblasted off. After all, everyone knows that's what drove Tommy out of town four years ago.

But now Tommy Sullivan has come back. Katie is sure he's out for revenge, and she'll do anything to hang on to her perfect (if slightly dishonest) existence. Even if it means telling more lies than ever. Even if, now that Tommy's around, she's actually—no lie—having the time of her life.

Katie Ellison is on the verge of destruction. The summer before her senior year of high school Katie is having a time of her life having two great relationships at the same time. At one time she's dating her town's star football player Seth Turner who everyone loves and the other time she's secretly dating her school's star actor Eric Flutely. She thinks she's got it under wraps beacause Seth is too nice to figure out the truth and Eric is hoping Seth will find out soon. So with that bundled up inside her why does she need more tension? Her long time ago friend Tommy Sullivan, comes back to town and everyone is out to murder. Katie only has one question: Why? She thought she would never have to deal with what went down in the eighth grade ever again, so when Tommy comes back after all these years she's frustrated with what happened. And the biggest problem is that he's hot and she strangley attracted to him. So she has to tell lie after lie about her feelings for both Seth and Eric and deal with the problems she wanted Tommy to take with him when he left. After a while the lies build up more and more and she's drowning because the truth is that lies destroy you. They always have. Now all Katie has to do is find out which she likes better the lies she's told about herself and others around her or the truth which she knows once comes out will make the town hate her. Making choices isn't easy and sometimes we just have to go with the flow and in the end we can only hope that what we did was the right thing to do.

This was an awesome book. It was so intense, but I just don't understand why you would cheat on the hottest guy in school. This book is one of my favorites.
