Gorgeous, Sensitive, Relatable. Abby does an amazing job crafting a world where we just want everything to work out, and as the omniscient observer, we want to will the happy ever after into place. She helps us care about ALL of the characters, and even the very life force of a town and random animals in this heart-swelling novel. Each of Abby's novels touches on a sensitive subject, carefully weaving the intricacies of that subject with the story we all become deeply invested in. in Part of Your World, abuse of different varieties is shown, as well as the work and effort to overcome the abuse indoctrination and learn to love yourself while trusting others again. Here, we follow Alexis's journey of healing and growing her own voice and path. Daniel finds his own self worth while discovering his own destiny. Worlds collide in heart-breaking, heart-warming, and belly-laughing ways.

After carpenter Daniel rescues ER doctor Alexis from a mishap with her car, the two end up in bed together. They never expect to see each other again, since they live two hours apart. But the attraction is one they can't forget, and their long-distance affair leads to love. Alexis's life is complicated, and she can't figure out how to fit Daniel into it. Can he convince her to give him a chance at forever? This is a poignant but ultimately triumphant story of recovery from emotional abuse. Daniel is the first person (other than her brother and her best friend) to ever love Alexis unconditionally. She wants to be with Daniel, but can't figure out how to do that without letting down the other people in her life. Her sense of self-worth is so tied to meeting other people's expectations, she doesn't know any other way to be. It's a joyous thing to see her finally break free and learn to live on her own terms. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Part of Your World is hands down my favorite book I've read so far this year! I've enjoyed all of Abby Jimenez's books that I've read, but this one stole my heart; there was so much to love! Alexis Montgomery comes from a long line of distinguished doctors and she and her brother are expected to carry on that legacy. While on the way home from a funeral, Alexis ends up in a ditch a couple of hours from home only to be saved by a cute guy. Daniel Grant lives in the small town of Wakan and while he's the town mayor and runs the B&B, he's also a very talented carpenter. While he may only be 28, he's wise beyond his years and is secure in who he is while trying to continue living up to the Grant family name. When Alexis is rescued by Daniel and they finally meet again, the sparks between them are undeniable! They both have their own obligations in their own hometowns and while the pull is so strong for them to be together, will they be able to make it work? Alexis has man outside influences that are causing stress and knowing how opposite their lives are makes her think maybe she needs to leave Daniel and Wakan behind. This was such a fantastic story. I was enthralled from the beginning and while the romantic love was there and the chemistry off the charts, I loved the friendship that was formed between Alexis and Daniel as well. I felt all the emotions reading this book; I laughed, cried, swooned and smiled. As I said above, this is one of my favorites of the year so far. Do yourself a favor and pick it up - you won't be sorry!
