About this ebook

In the rough country of Wyoming, sometimes cattle rustlers still get a death sentence.

Official consumer advocate and unofficial investigative reporter Elizabeth Margaret Danniher, her KWMT-TV colleague Mike Paycik, rancher Tom Burrell, and their supporting staff of idiosyncratic sleuths take on another mystery. A ranch foreman is found dead -- and, for most in Cottonwood County, the reaction is ... good riddance. Long considered guilty of a heinous crime, the foreman was represented then by a slick attorney, now owner of Lukasik Ranch -- once Mike's family land. Suspects include the hot-headed Hiram Poppinger, fellow grazing association ranchers -- and Tom. This time, both Tom and Elizabeth are ordered by Tom's daughter to find the truth. The investigation puts Elizabeth in close quarters with Mike and Tom -- sometimes all three together -- and she realizes her feelings for them also warrant a soul-search for deeper meaning.

Reaction Shot, Book 9 of the Caught Dead in Wyoming series, is a smart, surprising, fast-paced cozy mystery with humor. If you like quirky characters, hints of romance and twists you won’t see coming, then you’ll love USA Today bestselling author Patricia McLinn’s page-turner.

Response to Roberta N.: GooglePlay for some reason doesn't clearly mark a book as a pre-order, as the other ebook retailers do. On my phone, you had to click on 'About this ebook' and scroll way down to the bottom under 'More info' to see when the release date is. On a desktop, it's a little more clear. The release date is right next to the cover. The author has since added a boldface line at the top of the description that reads PRE-ORDER with the release date. You will receive your book on or shortly after that date, depending on how Google "ships" them.

9/13/2019 Nothing in the description of this book says it is not available to read yet - i.e. is not yet published. But it sure takes payment. When will I receive the book?! I would rather know in advance of purchase that it has a future publish date. One star, not necessarily about the book ( I'm sure it's going to be great as are all the others in this series), but for the deception in not revealing it is not yet available.
