In this series of interviews, over twenty well-known women reflect on their complicated relationships with their mothers, from wonderful moments of friendship and reconciliation to difficult times marked by addiction, sickness, and death. The result is at once an affirming self-help book, an uplifting tribute to mother-daughter relationships, and a collective memoir that captures the female experience in all its forms.

How about a book with the truth about mothers??? They aren't all "ultimately loving".... Some are downright evil.... Society needs to accept this. There are many women who should never reproduce. Some of us had these women as our mother's. We are damaged and scarred for life. ... We do our best to heal but the wounds are so deep.... Please let us be seen and heard. Those who have loving mother's should hold them and love them all the more. They are not the norm and you are lucky.
