Dr Paul Gow is an Australian Gastroenterologist. He completed his medical degree at Monash University and a Doctorate of Medicine through the University of Melbourne in the area of liver physiology. After completing his fellowship in Gastroenterology (specialising in gut and liver disease), he undertook two further years of specialist liver disease training in Oxford and Birmingham in the United Kingdom.
He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne. His current public practice is as senior consultant liver transplant physician with the Victorian Liver Transplant Unit based at the Austin Hospital. He has published more than 150 academic papers on the areas of liver health and disease.
Dr Gow lives in Melbourne with his wife, three children, dog, three cats and six chickens.
