I believe after we read one of Penelope's books, if we liked it, we have a tendency to talk like Darcy and Elizabeth. Don't you agree?

A mystery as Jane Austen would have written it. Excellent on its own merit with beautiful prose and vocabulary. Good story that promises I hope to get better as each romantic recency novella progresses. As a man I didn't think I'd like her creation but I was pleasantly surprised by its quality. Unlike the "modern" romance novels I've tried at female relatives prodding this series is neither turgid nor vapid or pornographic. Jane Austen would appreciate the careful plotting and attention to character.

I love Jane Austen and this twist on a old favourite was great. I'm about to order the sequel
