Funny, honest, and entertaining. Penn's stories are fantastic even if you're a believer. And to the guy who wrote the review about atheists in foxholes (in all caps too. classy): Penn addresses, quite perfectly, your theory about non-believers being shot at. You should read books before reviewing them.

Such a great read! I can't recommend it highly enough! Most know Penn as a loudmouthed, skeptic, know-it-all, in-your-face spokesman. His intelligence, integrity, humor, humanitarianism & yes even his modesty speak volumes. "I laughed, I cried", ...and I read it again!

I am in the military and I am a proud atheist.....and yes I have been in combat and have been shot twice.....and no I didn't pray....awesome book very funny
