About the author
Per Olov Enquist är född 1934 i Västerbotten. Han debuterade 1961 med Kristallögat, och fick sitt stora genombrott med Legionärerna 1968. Som dramatiker slog han igenom i mitten av sjuttiotalet med Tribadernas natt, en pjäs om August Strindberg och Siri von Essen. Han är en av Nordens mest väl kända författare, är översatt till ett fyrtiotal språk och har som romanförfattare nått en stor publik i en rad europeiska länder, inte minst i Tyskland.↵
