“Now Luke knew what Alexa was up against…” Short, sweet, steamy and fun. That’s this ninety page novella in a nutshell. I loved watching Luke and Alexa, two complete opposites, fall in love. They were so perfect for each other, despite their differences. It’s hard to say much without spoiling the story since it’s so short but I absolutely recommend it for a quick pick me up when you want all the romance without a lot of drama or angst. Very enjoyable and very entertaining.

A one-night stand is all Alexa is looking for, after all Luke is only in town for a few days, what’s the harm? The chemistry sizzled between these two and they quickly acted on it. However, what starts out as casual, quickly morphs into more. However, Luke will have a hard time breaking down the walls that Alexa has surrounded herself with. This was a fast paced, passionate, quick read that was well written.

I really enjoyed the connection between these two, it never wavered and was a basis for them to build something from. Because they come into each other's lives they inspired each other to go after what they wanted and to be honest with each other and themselves. Carly Phillips, whose real name is Karen Drogin, was born on July 7, 1965 in New York. She received an undergraduate degree from Brandeis University. She eventually became a lawyer, but never really enjoyed practicing law. After having her first child, she decided she wanted to write a romance novel.
