Okay, now this is what I am talking about. I've grown up with Batman and Robin. Superman in the movies came later. Some good stories (aka movies), some not. So now we have the offspring. Remember the Superman movie where he has a kid? Robin never came along in the movies as a kid, so this to me is fairly new. So yes, the ideas are intriguing, as long as everything isn't vanilla. By vanilla I mean copycat characters where everyone sounds the same. And I believe this book nails it. No, this is not a treatise of a formal fictional work that deserves a well-applauded critique. This is a review of a book that is absolutely FUN to read, and watch the hilarious interactions of two 13-year-old-wanna-be-hero types. To see them have fun, mess up, insult each other, fight, argue, and fight some more, while actually contributing to help solve a crime, save the universe, etc. Highly recommended for pleasure reading of all ages.

Differences are what make us gel with one another. This makes the plights of Jonathan and Damien similar even if from different vantage points. Illustrates that like is found if sought.
