About this eBook

“Chalk up another winner for [John Sandford] and his all-too-human hero” (Richmond Times-Dispatch) in the #1 New York Times bestselling Prey series.

After one troubled college-age student disappears and two are found slashed to death, Lucas Davenport finds himself hunting what appears to be a modern-day Jack the Ripper. Unfortunately the clues aren’t adding up—and then there’s the young Goth girl who keeps appearing and disappearing. Where does she come from? Where does she go every night? And why does Lucas keep getting the sneaking suspicion that there is something else going on here? Something very bad, very dark, and as elusive as a phantom…

Am I the only one who thought this was one disgusting book. I have been reading him since 05& loved he was a busy writer. Perfect for ADD fans. But this book was not your normal Lucas Davenport character. He spies on a pregnant woman and gets off on stalking her,at her breast feeding time. What happened to Daphne and the baby. And the characters are too messy. Gay mom who's kid is missing. And drug's & transgender and they never call the police. I read the 1st 3 chapters and jumped ahead to read the pervert part. And put it down. I guess he gave into housewives bookclubs. He's not the same guy I started to read. I have to find another writer who can write for people who don't want Patterson cheesy love scenes. Or a stalwart writer like sandford who gave into the pressure. I may try it again. maybe I misunderstood the pregnant women chapter. If I'm wrong, I'll gladly rewrite the review.

I didn't think a Lucas Davenport novel could get any better. This is one of Sanford's best!
