A Co-Worker’s Crush is the sixth and final book in The Rooftop Crew Series and is my absolute favourite of the series. Jax and Frankie’s story was so worth the wait! Piper Rayne saved the best for last. I couldn’t put this down from beginning to end. Frankie is single mom to an adorable little girl Jolie. She absolutely stole my heart at the end of The Do-Over with the declaration she makes in her letter to Santa. Frankie is trying to do right by her after staying too long in a relationship with her father who is a drug addict and abusive. Jax whom grew up in the foster system thinks he has nothing to offer Frankie and Jolie. He has insecurities he is battling and is a bit of a commitment phobe but underneath he is such a sweet, soft man with a heart of gold. He is protective and his relationship with Jolie was so endearing. Frankie and Jax have a hate to love relationship. Their verbal sparing is more like foreplay and when they give to the intense chemistry they share it is fireworks. The whole Rooftop Crew are a family among friends, and I’ve grown attached to these fictional characters and the love they have found with each other. Jax and Frankie’s story was the perfect story to end it all off. If you love a good light, steamy read with a ton of heart, heat and laughter this is the book for you! A Co-Worker’s Crush can be read as standalone but I recommend reading this series in order for the full reading experience.

As sad as I was to see this story I was also so in love with both of these characters from the time they were both introduced in this series and was happy to finally see how their story turned out. And what a story it was. Jax and Frankie have had a bit of my heart from the get-go and I knew their story was going to be an epic finale to this fantastic series. Way to go Piper Rayne! Jax loves the life he leads, no responsibilities but himself, loves his job and loves his freedom. Or so he thinks. Enter his co-worker Frankie and she slowly changes his way of thinking. Frankie is a single mom trying to navigate her burgeoning career and keeping her mom guilt to a minimum. When she first meets Jax, there is such animosity between them. But there is a very thin line between love and hate, Frankie and Jax are the very definition of that. Their chemistry is off the charts hot, white-hot, hotter than the hinges on the gates of Hades! I'll admit, even after the numerous romance books I have read and reviewed, I caught myself blushing and have to grab my old lady fan to cool myself off after reading some of their smexy times! This story was the perfect ending to a group of people that I fell for hard! I know I will be re-reading all of these stories again in the future!

Another series comes to an end!! What started out as a three part series, has become six amazing books filled with characters we’d all love to have as friends. From Blanca and Ethan to Frankie and Jax, this has been a fabulous run through the streets of Clifton Heights. The Rooftop Crew has sadly reached the last installment and ‘A Co-Worker’s Crush is it. The heat and sexual tension has been building for this last couple during the previous books and now they are going to set fire to their own tale. Jax has promised us a hot, sexy story ever since he strutted into Ink Envy and basically made himself at home there. Frankie is a single mom and just trying to get through life. She’s not looking for love, or complications and she sure isn’t looking at Jax, or so she’s been telling herself!!! But, when her young daughter asks for Jax to be her daddy, she doesn’t know what to do or say. Jax, however, has a big heart and he’s going to do what it takes to make Jolie’s dream come true. So, hold onto your heart, because Jax and Jolie are going to steal it if you’re not careful. This was an amazing story to end this fabulous series with. Fun, a little angst and all the usual snarky, sexy banter your heart desires. This is a guaranteed winner for a One-Click selection, so let your fingers do the tapping, lol.
