it was good, but only part 1 of a 2 part story. It feels like they took a whole book and cut it in half. I would have given it 4 stars, but for it being a teaser novella. If you are interested,plan to buy the sequel at the same time.

Would've loved it even more if there was a backstory about Leigh. How she worked in the mud world to keep the Others away from taking her people. But overall a good read.

loved this book. excited to read the next one in this series.
