About the author

Charlotte Smith is a retired teacher of high school mathematics, English, and library science. She has a BS in math and an MEd. Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, she has lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico, since 2005. She uses a casual writing style with a sense of humor and an intent to educate whenever possible. Most of her books have been written to help English as a Second Language learners. They include Homophones: Words That Sound Alike; Confusing Words, Including Heteronyms; Homonyms: Multiple-Meaning Words; a children’s picture book entitled Billy the Bully Goat Learns a Lesson. Future books include Compound Words and Roots and Affixes.
