About this eBook

He's a storm I can't resist.

Weston Bradford entered my world in a whirlwind.

Or, more accurately, during a torrential downpour.

After our brief encounter, I didn't think I'd ever see him again.

Until I'm hired to work on a historic home renovation and learn he's my new client.

The last thing I need when trying to make a name for myself in this industry is to fall for my client, and a wealthy one at that. Despite my best efforts, there's no denying the spark between us that grows stronger every day.

When my past collides with my present in a devastating way, can I finally allow myself to put my trust in Weston?

Wow wow wow... this is my first T.K. Leigh book and it will not be my last. I really loved this story and the amazing strong characters. Londyn and Weston are two amazing people that have had some negative experiences in their life that have altered their futures. Upon a chance meeting and a second chance meeting...the two begin to realize they have a lot more in common than they initially realizes. This friends to lovers story will keep you engrossed, hurt your heart a little with the negative effects of our society standards, and make you feel joy and happiness. Family (not always by blood) and friends can help you realize you are good enough, worth enough and strong enough to be you. I received an arc in exchange for a fair review. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Where do I start? This book has it all. Happiness, sadness, anger, love, acceptance, prejudice. I could go on and on. But in true TK Leigh fashion it will have you glued to every word. Society has come a long way with inter-racial couples but there are still some who will not accept it. Judging a person by the color of their skin rather than the person they are is still existent. Wes really doesn’t care of the color of Londyn’s skin. From the moment he rescued her in the middle of the street he fell for her. TK Leigh does an amazing job on such a delicate subject. The love that has grown with these two characters will have you rooting for their happiness. The cruelty of Londyn’s past will have you wishing for justice. This subject of this book is something I don’t think TK Leigh has ever written but as usual she has done a spectacular job. The love story that grows from these two characters with their not so happy pasts is truly inspiring. Not everything in life is easy. Love wouldn’t so precious if it was easily gained and trust wouldn’t be so important. I cannot wait for their conclusion to this series. Sitting on pins and needles to see how it goes.

Wes and Londyn meet under unusual circumstances. Londyn has just been fired from work, and on leaving the building going back to her car she takes a tumble on the wet road. Wes swoops in as a hero and rescues her, taking her into the cafe he saw her from. They sit and chat for a while and find they hit it off. Their paths cross again when Julia, Wes's sister is looking for an interior designer to renovate their old grandparents house and happens to pick out Londyn's card. They both hit it off and Julia offers Londyn the job. Just as Londyn is leaving, Wes arrives at the house. Julia noticed the spark between the two and encourages Wes. There is serious chemistry between them, but Londyn's past is complicated and holding her back. Wes's history isn't that great either! You wonder if they can overcome their pasts to find a future together. The twist at the end is a very unexpected one! Loved it even finishing on a cliffhanger and can't wait for the second part!!
