I love this book. There's a review here that says all that Elizabeth does is worry about getting married and is completely self absorbed. I would just like to point out that she says on multiple occasions that she won't get married unless she is in love, otherwise she's happy to die an old maid. She worries about her sisters often (especially Jane) so she isn't completely selfish. But the book is called Pride and Prejudice for a reason, Elizabeth definitely has her prideful moments. But the great part is that she is a nuanced character that isn't just prideful or just selfless.

I read this book because it is often described as a classic. I found some parts difficult to read because the way things were said then is so different to today. I had to read some paragraphs 2 or 3 times to understand them. It was worth the perseverance. The story gave an interesting insight as to how life was, in the middle and upper classes at that time. Especially as it was written by a contemporary.
