This novel series is what really got me into reading in the first place back when I was teen. What is there to say now about something I've waited years to read. Its not entirely what I'd had hope for but that doesn't make it bad by any means. The two things that annoyed me the most was the over use of apple product placement. And the lavished lifestyles which I've gotten bored of sometime ago. This is not a novel I could recommend unless your familiar with her style of writing and characters.

Okay, I'm not sure how the rest of the book is going to go, but I was a bit disappointed in how Anne developed Lestat's character for this book. Yes, he is haunted and has a lot of emotional baggage, we all know this as fans, but he is NOT oblivious to modern technology like email and cell phones. He has never been as absent-minded, or as distant as he is portrayed as being. That being said, this plot seemed to rehash books 2 and 3 to a great extent, and that was also disappointing to me.

The Brat Prince is put through the ultimate challenge, dealing with his self made popularity. As the undead world turns on itself everyone looks to the would be Prince to take charge, unite & lead the tribe. Once again our Brat Prince does not fail to surprise us with his loyalty, honor, dedication, insight and truly wondrous way of looking at things. Was hooked from the very beginning following everyone as the story unfolded.
