João Carlos Namorado Clímaco é professor catedrático na Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra. He is Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Coimbra and is also a member of the Coimbra Computer and Engineering Systems Institution (INESC). Carlos Henggeler Antunes obteve o grau de Doutor em Engenharia Eletrotécnica (Otimização e Teoria dos Sistemas) pela Universidade de Coimbra em 1992, sendo atualmente Professor Catedrático no Departamento de Engenharia Eletrotécnica e de Computadores da Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade de Coimbra e Diretor da Unidade de I&D INESC Coimbra. As suas principais áreas de atividade científica são os modelos e métodos de investigação operacional, a otimização multiobjectivo, o apoio multicritério à decisão, as meta-heurísticas multiobjectivo e as respectivas aplicações a problemas no sector energético.
He obtained his Doctorate in Electrotechnical Engineering (Optimisation and Systems Theory) from the University of Coimbra in 1992, where he is currently Professor in the Department of Electrotechnical Engineering and Computing of the Faculty of Science and Technology and Director of the INESC Coimbra Research & Development Unit. His principal areas of scientific activity are models and methods of operational research, multiobjective optimisation, mulitcriteria decision support, multiobjective meta-heuristics and their application to respective problems in the energy sector.
Maria João Teixeira Gomes Alves é Professora Auxiliar da Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra. As suas principais áreas de interesse científico são: Investigação Operacional, em particular, apoio multicritério à decisão, programação linear e programação inteira multiobjectivo.
