Om denne e-bog

Protocols and Applications in Enzymology provides instruction on the experimental procedures of enzyme isolation techniques, innovative screening techniques, and instrument enabled enzyme assays and their underlying principles, among other protocols. The book serves as a one-stop solution for those working with different enzyme protocols in the fields of biochemistry, microbiology, biotechnology and allied subjects. Each chapter offers a full overview of protocol key resources, materials required, quantifiable and statistical analysis, optimization and troubleshooting, safety considerations, and standards. Applications are discussed across distribution and diversity of microbial enzymes, enzyme screening, enzymes in solid state fermentations, enzyme assays, enzyme kinetics, and biotechnological uses. - Provides step-by-step instruction on enzyme protocols and applications, with actionable discussions of needed resources, materials, quantification and statistical analysis, optimization and troubleshooting, safety considerations and standards - Presents easy to read, reproducible protocols for researchers and students across academia and industry - Includes color diagrams that illustrate key concepts

Om forfatteren

Dr. Seema Anil Belorkar is Assistant Professor at the PG Department of Microbiology and Bioinformatics, Atal Bihari Vajpayee University, Bilaspur, with expertise in bioactive molecule production and enzymology. She has published 20 publications in various national and international journals, and has successfully completed 4 research projects with involvin production of enzymes and their application in agro-industrial wastes. Dr. Belorkar has contributed to 4 chapters in various books published by Springer, Wiley-Blackwell, and Elsevier. She has received 3 awards in the field of teaching and research, and has been a reviewer for articles in BMC Plant Biology, the Indian journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences and other journals of repute.Dr. Sudisha Jogaiah, is the Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Environmental Science at the Central University of Kerala. Dr. Jogaiah is one of the leading scientists in dissecting the molecular mechanisms of rhizosphere fungi mediated Induce systemic resistance (ISR) underlying SA/JA/ET cross talk and its consequent effect on commercial biocontrol strategies in India. He is the Fellow of The National Academy of Sciences (FNASc.), Fellow of The National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (FNAAS.), Fellow of National Academy of Biological Sciences (FNABS), His research emphasizes plant–microbe interactions and eco-friendly crop protection, contributing to advances in sustainable agricultural practices. The vision of Dr. Jogaiah research offers a fresh perspective to agriculture, horticulture, and agro-ecosystems from "Laboratory to Land and is designed to educate and train the farmers for implementation of sustainable crop production. Dr. Jogaiah has played active roles in both national and international academic circles and has an extensive record of scholarly publications and contributions to authored books and edited volumes. His work supports a deeper understanding of environmental science and its practical applications in sustainable agriculture.
